My First Craft Sale

I am about to get very honest here.  My first craft sale left me feeling very inadequate.  I think the things I create are unique, and fun, and beautiful.  I sold enough to make a profit (after the cost of my materials, and the cost of renting the space), but it wasn't at all what I was anticipating.

So now what do I do?  Well, first of all I am currently using a lot of the items that didn't sell to decorate my own house, which has been fun.  I don't want to give up, but I also don't want to have a massive amount of unsold projects in my basement.  I'm really bummed.  To make matters worse, my items on etsy haven't sold either-- not a single one and my page expires tomorrow.  Where do I go from here?  Not really sure.  I met some great woman at the show who encouraged me to keep trying.  They all said it was slow for them too, so I know it wasn't just me.

Those of you who know me, know I'm a glass half-full kind of girl, so I really feel like I should try again.  So that's what I am going to do.  Not sure when.  Not sure how.  But I do know I can't let this dream die without giving it my all!

For those of you who didn't get a chance to stop by...  Here are pictures of the sale.  And if you see something you like, let me know.  Chances are it's still here, and I'm ready to sell it.

My talented Momma made the adorable stuffed owls.  She sold almost all of the ones she made for the sale.  So proud of her.  I've been telling her for years she needs to sell her stuff.

I'll keep you posted on {Part Two} of the journey.
